Vista Outdoor Digital Marketing Coordinator - Retention in Irvine, California

Job Description

Our Adventure Sports portfolio is looking for a Digital Marketing Coordinator to join our team to accelerate the growth of our branded websites (Fox Racing, Bell Helmets, Giro, CamelBak and Blackburn). You will be joining an iconic group of brands rapidly expanding our digital presence. Responsible for supporting profitable online marketing campaigns to grow digital programs. We need a fast learner that can analyze data and come to actionable conclusions quickly. Someone who can craft a recommendation and make it happen. This role will support building, growing, and optimizing the online marketing programs and portfolio for email and SMS to acquire new customers, increase retention and drive profitable sales.

The Digital Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day execution of email and SMS marketing channels. This person will partner with internal and external teams to ensure each marketing channel aligns with current business and marketing needs. Cross-functional communication between digital, brand and creative teams is also a critical aspect of this role.

This position will report to the Sr. Manager of Digital Marketing and is a hybrid role working 3 days in our Irvine, CA corporate headquarters and 2 days from home.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and manage email content strategy and SMS contact strategy.

  • Coordinate timelines, scheduling, and asset requests.

  • Drive email/SMS experience through partnership for website updates, new pages, and coordination of promotional activities.

  • Assist in new product launch initiatives; including but not limited to coordinating new product digital assets and messaging.

  • Monitor and analyze activities to share top stories and develop next level recommendations for content, campaigns, and events.

  • Responsible for maintaining the email/SMS database; eliminating unsubscribes and bounces.

  • Work collaboratively with the marketing team ensuring all written and visual content is on brand; Proofread and edit content to adhere to brand guidelines.

  • Monitoring competitor analysis and sharing insights and recommendations that could provide improved program performance.

  • Manage email/SMS key initiatives tracker.

  • QA and optimize email/SMS campaign experiences.

  • Assist pulling relevant campaign data to report on KPIs.

  • Identify and apply process improvements.

  • Stay abreast of digital marketing trends and actively share new insights.

  • Create SMS marketing plans, track, and report on progress to plan.

  • Coordinate timelines, scheduling, and asset requests.

  • Drive SMS experience through partnership for website updates, new pages, and coordination of promotional activities.

  • Monitor and analyze activities to share opportunities and develop next level recommendations for SMS content, campaigns, and events.

  • Responsible for maintaining the SMS subscriber base and agency partner relationship.

  • Follow brand guidelines to ensure all written and visual content is on brand.

  • Work collaboratively with the marketing team ensuring all written and visual content is on brand; Proofread and edit content to adhere to brand guidelines.

  • Monitoring competitor analysis and sharing insights and recommendations that could provide improved program performance.

  • Manage SMS key initiatives tracker and coordination of communications.

  • QA and optimize SMS campaign experiences.

  • Assist pulling relevant campaign data to report on KPIs.

  • Identify and apply process improvements.

  • Stay abreast of trends and actively share new insights.

  • Coordinating end-to-end digital projects.

  • Work collaboratively with the marketing team ensuring all written and visual content is on brand; Proofread and edit content to adhere to brand guidelines.

  • Monitoring competitor analysis and sharing insights and recommendations that could provide improved program performance.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in digital marketing such as email and SMS marketing, paid media advertising, retargeting, display, and mobile advertising.

  • Or 2+ years’ experience as a content coordinator, marketing assistant or similar experience.

  • Solid understanding of web metrics, digital analytics, with the ability to generate, analyze and interpret data.

  • Experience delivering digital campaigns for consumer products and services.

  • Excellent grasp of digital marketing and website KPIs.

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study (marketing, communications, digital, business).

  • Master of MS Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with Google Analytics, AdWords, ESP platforms and other paid media tools.

  • Proven ability in managing multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.

  • Ability to convey clear, concise information in verbal, written, digital, and other communication formats.

  • Project management experience associated with Interactive Marketing and/or Web projects.

  • Quick learner and self-motivated; takes the initiative to complete important assignments and meet deadlines.

  • Marketing/Web experience associated with a national-level retailer.

  • Practiced in the basics of full-lifecycle marketing initiative management.

  • Understanding of retail industry and related retail channels.

  • Must be available to work occasional off-hours.

  • Must be available during standard business hours.

Pay Range:

$55,400.00 - $83,000.00

The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
