Vista Outdoor International Sales Manager in Anoka, Minnesota
Vista Outdoor is seeking an International Sales Manager to add to our dynamic team. This position will be based in Anoka, Minnesota or Lewiston, Idaho and will lead ammunition sales and be a support for all marketing projects for the specific region of Asia Pacific Rim, LATAM, Africa for the Shooting Sports group. This role will support a broad set of brands including the iconic ammunition brands of Federal Cartridge, Remington, CCI, Speer ammunition brands and our Remington accessories brands. This position will be responsible for developing sales strategies and managing the customer relationships to maintain and grow the regional sales. The International Sales Manager should have excellent communication and personal skills that allows them to be effective with the varied regional cultures, internal customers, employees and business leaders.

Meet sales and profit targets for assigned region
Meet expense budget, control spending and stay lean
Communicate to customer receipt plans by month/quarter/year as needed
Technical knowledge of ammunition and related products to support end user/end use applications and in country regional sales support.
Maintain international or global key account relationships through planned account strategies
Develops strategic plans regarding complex international or global key account approaches based on industry trending and customer analysis
High level of authority or opportunity to set and negotiate product or service terms
Conducts regular status and strategy meetings with the customer’s senior management to understand their needs and identify opportunities to link them to ammunition, accessory and/or firearms product strategies
Maintain a solid understanding of business, financials, ammunition, accessories and/or firearms products
Knows the Country, Federal, State and Local regulations affecting the customers and industries in the sales territory and conducts sales in compliance with the laws and regulations
Demonstrates and provide instruction on the use of products
Keeps informed of new products and other information of interest to customers
Investigate new product applications or improvements to product for regions/markets
Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of related experience in a complex and challenging international or global account sales environment
Proven sales performance against assigned targets
Experience with ammunition business and export knowledge
Able to demonstrate and provide instruction on the use of ammunition products
Experience and understanding of business and firearms products finance
Experience in firearms, ammunition, and accessories products
Understanding of the Country, Federal, State and Local regulations affecting the customers and industries in the sales territory
Demonstrated ability to support account penetration activities, and helps to maintain and develop relationships with a wide variety of decision makers within large and complex international or global strategic accounts
Ability to keep current with a large and changing product offerings
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills as well as strong attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel 65% of the time within the assigned territory to include travel between our U.S. manufacturing facilities as required.
